Sarah Michelle Gellar has been an actor on film for many years. Her character as Buffy Summers in the hit television show 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' was widely acclaimed and won her several accolades. She was always destined to be an actress. She was discovered by an agent at just four years old and asked to audition for a part in the television film'An Invasion Of Privacy'. This gave her exposure to the media and she became a child model. As a young girl she continued her television shows and even got tiny roles in Hollywood film. Her first break began when at the age of a teenager, she was chosen to play Sydney Rutledge in the teen drama "Swans' Crossing". Her performance as Kendall Hart in the ABC soap drama 'All My Children which was well-received and brought her prizes and honors, such as one Emmy Award. Eventually she made her foray into mainstream Hollywood and was offered part in films featuring horror like "I Have a Secret I did Last Summer' as well as "Scream 2". The most memorable moment of her career happened when she was selected to portray Buffy Summers in the highly famous vampire show "Buffy The Vampire Slayer".
