Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson is an American actress singer writer director and producer. Her most well-known character is Tara Maclay, in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Alongside that, she's produced, directed and performed in her own films Chance & Lovers Liars & Lunatics. In addition, she appeared part of the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on the 8th of January 1977, in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle is her younger sister and is an artist. The father of her is Jewish while her mother raised Southern Baptist Benson grew up in an Reform synagogue in Alabama. Benson's career has continued to flourish since the end of Buffy. Benson was a part of films like The Killing Jar, and shows like Morganville The Series. On camera, she used her creative writing abilities in writing the Ghosts of Albion and direct projects, like the 2010's Drones. Buffy states that she's found and counted at least 1800 Slayers with 500 who are part of the Scooby Gang. They are now able to awaken as Slayers as they mature to a suitable level such as Slayer Soledad. Slayer Soledad was awakened at the age of 16.
