Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in the city of Columbus, Ohio. She is considered to be one of the most outstanding gymnasts. In the 2016 Olympics at Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals at one Games and she was the first gymnast to win three consecutive all-around world championships (2013-15). Biles, along with her twins Adria and Ronald Biles were adopted as children by the grandparents of Houston. Simone started to develop an interest in gymnastics when she was when she was six years old during a school field trip to Bannon Gymnastix. Aimee Borman was her coach for the following eleven years. Biles won the vault and floor exercise at the 2009 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships before getting to the highest level of competition in 2011. She was the most dominant in her sport just two years later. What set Biles apart was her consistency her flamboyant attitude and the extreme level of challenge she integrated into her routines in every event - vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercises.
